Description
These yellow lilies were just passing their prime. You could see that a petal or two had fallen and I noticed the softened stems were no longer strong enough to support the bright golden heads. In an effort to capture this stage before it was too late, I did a quick sketch, almost a watercolor line drawing or a gesture drawing.
