Description
While sorting, cleaning and re-organizing in my studio, I came across some watercolor paintings that I had done a number of years ago in the Muttart Conservatory, Edmonton, Alberta.
This delightful little Phalaenopsis Orchid or Moth Orchid was there just begging to be painted. They are sold here as house plants because they are not too difficult to grow. Mine sits on the kitchen window sill but I think I have a thing or two to learn about what makes it happy.
The Muttart Conservatory is a botanical garden located in the downtown river valley of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It features four climate regulated pyramids, separately housing Arid, Temperate and Tropical plants as well as a Show Pavilion filled with seasonal displays.
