Description
Calgary is situated in the southern part of the Canadian province of Alberta. Here the land is semi-arid, rolling grassland, however, Calgarians do like to swim and boat and enjoy their water views. They have built several man-made lakes within the city, one of which is Sikome Lake. Sikome Lake Recreation Area is part of Fish Creek Provincial Park.
Sikome Lake is for sale on my personal website, greenhorsestudio.com, where there is a shopping cart, and where it can be viewed in its frame. The painting is double matted, acid free, in a light brown designer frame with acrylic (plexi-glass).
The Fine Art America watermark that you see in the lower right hand corner, will not be on any purchased work.

Back to enjoy your brilliant work and take a walk down memory lane! I recall when this man made lake and beach were opened to the public, it quickly became a popular spot.
Heather McFarlane-Watson replied:
Thank you, Malanda. I still remember the walkway is the late afternoon sun and the beautiful big poplar trees.

Great depiction of Sicome Lake Heather! As a previous Calgarian, I could not help but notice this remarkable work! LF
Heather McFarlane-Watson replied:
Oh, thank you so much, Malanda ! For me, Sicome Lake was a magical little spot - the poplar trees were beautiful all year round and the lake just sparkled in the late afternoon. Glad we have both had a chance to remember this place.
