Description
This drawing is one of my Green Horse Inspiration Series. My studio, the Greenhorse studio, is named after the "green horse lamp" which is an actual lamp featuring a green horse jumping over a barricade. This lamp has been in our family since the 1950's and has finally come to me. When I look at it, it reminds me to DREAM. I strive to exhibit creative imagination as the "lamp" artist did so many years ago.
This past summer I combined the image of a horse, often green, with a patterned dreamscape of hills, clouds and pathways. To me the process was fun and the result satisfying.

Thank you so much, Tolere, for commenting on this image and the series of Horse Design Drawings. I created this series during a time when I was caregiver to my husband who had Parkinsons. The colors cheered me up and the colored markers that I used were new and exciting to me.

Hi Heather, I'm browsing through your gallery with my 3 year old granddaughter. She immediately picked this one as her favourite because of the pretty horses and bright sunshine! The inspiration from your "green horse lamp" has resulted in some very creative and fun pieces! LF
